Binjour Plateau Syaye School is a small rural school with the principal role a teaching one. Our school motto is 'Grow with Binjour’.

We are seeking a dynamic Principal to lead our school community in delivering a clear, inspiring vision while driving improvements in student outcomes.

This role focuses on enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, fostering positive relationships among students, teachers, and the broader community, and engaging key stakeholders to create a collaborative and thriving school environment.

About Binjour Plateau State School

Students are taught the Australian Curriculum in a multi-age classroom from Prep to year 6.  Quality results are achieved by teachers understanding each individual students' strengths and planning differentiated teaching and learning experiences using high yield pedagogies.  This provides students with opportunities to utilise their strengths when demonstrating their knowledge and understanding. Specialist teachers visit the school to teach Health & Physical Education, Music and Chinese (year 3-6 students).  Our school chaplain visits the school each Wednesday to support the wellbeing of staff, students and families.

About the Role

You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

  • Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
