We are seeking a dedicated Principal to lead our school community on a
temporary full-time basis, from 18 August 2025 until 06 May 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About Dagun State School
We are a small school situated 20 kilometres south of Gympie. Our key objective is to provide a safe and positive learning environment to nurture the whole child through differentiated curriculum.
Our multi-age classroom settings provide flexibility for staff to tailor learning to individual student needs. Curriculum for Prep to Year 6 has a central focus of achieving high levels of literacy, numeracy and science through a range of key learning areas.
We engage in a three-way educational partnership including parents, teachers and child - to guide and prepare our children with confidence, skills and abilities to contribute as valuable citizens of our global community.
About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Futures oriented and strategic.
