Noosa District State High School Cooroy Campus, is looking for a hands-on, skilled maintenance expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment.We're looking for a strong and highly capable Schools Officer, Facilities, to take charge of the day-to-day maintenance operations in our busy school. This is not a slow-paced or behind-the-scenes role - you'll be front and centre, keeping the school running efficiently, safely, and smoothly.

This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

  • Prioritise multiple tasks with confidence and a clear plan of action
  • Perform a wide range of general maintenance tasks
  • Respond rapidly to issues to minimise disruption to school activities
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and school staff as needed

Maintain tools, equipment, and facilities to the highest standard

What you Bring:

  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance/facilities role
  • A broad skill set across all aspects of maintenance
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and judgement
  • Physical strength and stamina - this is a very active role
  • Exceptional time-management and the ability to work under pressure
  • A can-do attitude and the ability to work both independently and in a team

This role suits someone who is fast, sharp, and ready to take control of a school environment that's always on the move.
