About Our School
Urangan State High School is an award-winning school with around 1,400 students from Years 7 to 12. We are a school with momentum, focused on renewal, innovation, and excellence.
To support high-quality curriculum implementation, students commence later on Mondays and Fridays, providing teachers with 110 minutes of collaborative planning time each week. About You
We are seeking an instructional leader who can inspire staff, engage students, and contribute to whole-school improvement. You will be focused on ensuring all students develop global competencies so they transition to future opportunities with confidence and resilience.
The successful applicant will demonstrate experience and capability in:
- Leading case management and wellbeing initiatives through cohort or juncture leadership
- Driving curriculum innovation within ACv9/QCAA requirements to strengthen student outcomes and pathways
- Engaging staff and students in authentic learning that builds skills for life and work
- Building strong team cultures at both executive and line-managed levels
- Developing positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the wider community
- Using and analysing data to inform school improvement processes
- Leading operational and strategic aspects of timetabling to optimise opportunities for students
- Managing human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources in a complex school environment
