Monto State High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher Aide to support our students and staff in delivering high-quality education. In this rewarding role, you'll assist with learning materials, classroom activities, and student support. This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.47FTE), 36 hours per fortnight.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Assist in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher.
  • Assist with supervision of students during breaks.
  • Support students with their academic learning - working with small groups as well as individual students.
  • Provide support for teachers in compiling and creating learning materials.
  • Contributing to the welfare, health and safety of students.
  • Displaying confidentiality, tact and reliability to other staff as well as students and their families.
  •  Communicating effectively and displaying a high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team
    member.

What You Bring:

  • A genuine passion for supporting students to become confident, capable and contributing citizens.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy and an adaptable approach to meeting the unique needs of each student.
  • Proven ability to work harmoniously within a team environment.
  • Demonstrate professional discretion.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptive and dynamic.
  • Experience working as a Teacher Aide, preferably in a secondary school.
