Who We Are:
Norville State School, Queensland's prototype multiple-area school, has developed over 44 years into a comprehensive and inclusive educational campus. The school comprises a dedicated Prep complex, a primary school, and a specialised education unit supporting children with hearing impairments, language delays, intellectual impairments, autism spectrum disorder, and physical impairments. It also offers an early childhood intervention program that supports children both on campus and through home visits. Students enrolled in the special education program are fully included in the primary school, reflecting the school's strong commitment to inclusive education.
Norville State School is well-resourced, featuring high-standard facilities including large, functional buildings, a music block, and a sports centre, all set within well-landscaped grounds. Sporting amenities include a dual tennis court, multi-purpose court, three playgrounds, cricket nets, athletics ovals, and various sports fields. An Olympic swimming pool, provided by Bundaberg City Council, is located at the rear of the school and is regularly used by both students and community groups.
Located near the south-western corner of Bundaberg in the established suburb of Norville, and bordered by parkland and an industrial estate, the school is widely regarded as an outstanding educational setting. It is known for its welcoming and inclusive culture, strong community partnerships, and progressive approach to learning. The openness and friendliness of the staff, students, and families contribute to a positive environment that continues to attract families from across the region.
