Two Mile State School is a small school with a proud history, established in 1883 and located in the wider Gympie region. With 95 students from Prep to Year 6, we are built on strong traditions and core values that continue to guide us today. We honour our past while confidently striding into the future, supported by a connected and caring community. About the Role
As the Principal, you will be responsible for delivering the department's vision by setting clear goals and ensuring alignment across all aspects of the school. Your leadership will focus on improving student educational outcomes through evidence-based strategies and data-informed decision-making. You will oversee the development and implementation of high-quality teaching and learning practices, supporting staff with professional development and performance management. Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community will be essential to fostering a positive and collaborative school environment. Your role will be pivotal in creating a culture of excellence, equity, and continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities
As the Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
