Federal State School is located on the northern end of the Sunshine Coast and has an enrolment of approximately 60 students. The school draws from a wide catchment area including Federal, Tuchekoi, Skyring Creek, Carter's Ridge, Ridgewood, and Black Mountain. Some families from Cooroy, Pomona, and Tinbeerwah also choose Federal for its strong small-town community connection.
