Step Into Your Next Chapter:

As Head of Department - Curriculum, you will provide strategic leadership to ensure high-quality, aligned curriculum implementation across all four schools.

This role requires a highly organised and effective communicator who can confidently lead a coaching culture, build staff capability and operate with both collaboration and autonomy.

You will demonstrate a deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogy, and guide staff to effectively support highly capable learners as well as students with complex learning needs.

You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Australian Curriculum and evidence-based pedagogical practices to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Build leadership and teacher capability through targeted professional development to support the transition to Australian Curriculum Version 9, tailored to each school context.
  • Lead and embed rigorous Before and After cluster moderation practices to strengthen collaborative professional dialogue and ensure consistency in judgements of student achievement.
  • Collate, analyse and interpret cluster and individual school data sets to inform strategic direction, aligned with the Queensland Department of Education's Brighter Futures priorities.
  • Foster positive, productive collaboration across all school settings through exceptional interpersonal skills and the effective use of varied communication modes.
