As the Corporate Services Officer, you will provide comprehensive administrative and co-ordination support in line with the Education Support Funding Program. Reporting to the Principal Advisor Student Protection, supporting the Principal Education Officer, Students in Care and operating within the Student Child and Family Connect team at the Maroochydore Regional Office, the position supports the effective implementation, oversight and governance of the program that aims to improve outcomes for students in care.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.4FTE), 29 hours per fortnight.

About the Role

As Corporate Services Officer, you will:

  • Assist with the implementation of initiatives and systemic priorities as they relate to corporate services within the region.
  • Maintain and enhance administrative systems and processes to maximise the effectiveness of services to schools and region.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date data sets through Power BI dashboards and assisting with collating and analysing information to identify emerging trends, barriers and areas of need.
  • Assist the Principal Education Officer, Students in Care with financial management and oversight of contingency funding allocations and approvals including reviewing applications, tracking expenditure and budget management.
  • Monitor the Out of Home Care mailbox and provide timely, accurate responses to enquiries, ensuring effective communication and appropriate follow-up.
  • Effective cross-agency communication with Child Safety colleagues, including the appropriate exchange of relevant data sets aimed at increasing cross agency collaboration, awareness and outcomes for students in care.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Principal Education Officer, Students in Care in relation to school transition processes, including maintaining accurate Prep and Year 7 transition lists, monitoring enrolments, and coordinating transition cross agency panel processes.
  • Cross-reference data received from Central Office to support the accurate recording of student information within OneSchool, and liaise with key contacts, school administrative staff and Child Safety representatives to maintain current and reliable records.
