About the Role:
The Project Officer role will be responsible for the oversight and triage of regional data sets to inform. targeted student support. Additionally, this role will support the Regional Youth Engagement Service and the operational support of the Student Child and Family Connect team.
Ideally you will have experience working with students and their families who have disengaged from education or are at-risk of disengaging from education or the ability to acquire knowledge of how to support disengaged students. It is desirable that the successful applicant will have experience in data collation, analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities Include:
The position will provide targeted support to students and families inclusive of:
- Provision of appropriate support options and intervention to assist the reengagement of young people at-risk through the identification of student need.
- Collate and analyse information, identifying needs and barriers to formulate the basis for the development of transition to school, employment and vocational education plans.
- Establish links with relevant government departments, community agencies, education providers, training organisations and employers to enhance opportunities for young people to effectively participate in educational programs.
- Establish effective partnerships with parents, school-based staff, regional teams and other key stakeholders to facilitate effective case-management for disengaged and at-risk students.
