Bribie Island State High School is seeking reliable and hardworking Temporary Cleaners to join our supportive team environment to join our team!

Availability for 7.5 hrs per day and up to 37.5 hrs per week.

Split shift 5am-8.30am and 2-6pm Monday to Friday with broken work allowance paid for split shift.

Your Opportunity:

School cleaners play a vital role in the school community by reducing the spread of disease through high standards of cleaning practices and keeping the appearance of the school at a high standard.

It is the responsibility of school cleaners to deliver a clean and hygienic learning environment for all students.

The role involves maintaining clean, safe and welcoming learning spaces across the school, including classrooms, offices, amenities and outdoor areas.

Duties include general cleaning, rubbish removal, vacuuming, mopping, toilet cleaning, dusting and floor maintenance.

What We're Looking For - We are seeking people who:

  • Take pride in their work and attention to detail, are reliable, punctual and team focused, can work independently and follow directions and have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support.
  • Ensure that the duties prescribed for the position are completed to an acceptable standard as determined by their supervisor, in accordance with the approved school cleaning program.
  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right applicants.
