Glass House Mountains State School is seeking a Cleaner to play a key role in creating a safe, clean and welcoming environment that supports students and staff to thrive each day.
In this role, you will contribute to the
smooth and efficient operation of the school by delivering high-quality cleaning services across the site, ensuring all duties are completed to a high standard in line with the approved school cleaning program and supervisor
direction.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.16FTE), 12.5 hours per fortnight.

About the School
Glass House Mountains State School is a welcoming primary school in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, situated in the foothills of the iconic Glass House Mountains. Established in 1906, the school has a long-standing history of serving its local community and provides education for students from Prep to Year 6.
Set in a picturesque rural environment, the school fosters a strong sense of community and connection, where students, staff and families work together to support student learning, wellbeing and growth in a safe and inclusive setting.
About the Role
The role involves maintaining clean, safe and welcoming learning spaces across the school, including classrooms, offices, amenities and outdoor areas. Duties include general cleaning, rubbish removal, vacuuming, mopping, toilet cleaning, dusting and floor maintenance.
What we are looking for - We are seeking people who:
- Take pride in their work and attention to detail, are reliable, punctual and team focused, can work independently and follow directions and have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support.
- Ensure that the duties prescribed for the position are completed to an acceptable standard as determined by their supervisor, in accordance with the approved school cleaning program.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be provided for the right applicants.
