Expressions of Interest are invited for the role of Head of Department at Isis District State High School, leading Health and Physical Education, Sport and INTAD.
You will drive quality teaching and learning, supporting school and departmental priorities, and strengthening student outcomes through effective curriculum leadership and strong community partnerships.

About the School
Isis District State High School is a Years 7-12 school of approximately 400 students in Childers, serving surrounding rural communities and fostering strong community connections to support student success.
About the Role
As Head of Department, you will lead HPE, Sport and INTAD (SAC support), driving curriculum priorities aligned to school and departmental initiatives, developing the quality of teaching and learning, and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
The ideal applicant will:
- Lead the school department and curriculum focus in developing and providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
- Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
- Be future-oriented and strategic.
- Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff.
- Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
