James Nash State High School is located in the Wide Bay region of Queensland and is serviced by the Department of Education's North Coast region.
Set on the northern outskirts of Gympie, James Nash High was founded in 1977 and has a current enrolment of 1,100 students.
We measure our success when our students move beyond school into work and/or further study and pride ourselves on consistently outperforming both the state and region in these metrics.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
