Your opportunity:
The Head of Departments will provide strong curriculum and instructional leadership, working collaboratively with teachers, students, industry partners and the wider school community to develop and implement a shared vision for quality learning.
A key focus of the role will be to provide strategic leadership of VET delivery within the broader state-wide context, recognising the important role of vocational education in preparing young people for further education, training, employment and changing workforce needs. The successful applicant will contribute to a consistent, high-quality approach to VET provision that reflects state-wide priorities, industry needs and emerging employment pathways, while ensuring programs remain responsive to the needs of local students and communities.
The Head of Department will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of VET programs, ensuring quality assurance, compliance, effective assessment practices, industry currency and strong student outcomes. This will include building productive partnerships with industry, Registered Training Organisations, employers, community organisations and other educational providers to strengthen authentic learning experiences, work-based learning and post-school pathways.
This role provides an opportunity to lead a dynamic and evolving area of education, connecting state-wide VET priorities with school-based innovation, industry expectations and the aspirations of students, while contributing to a strong culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
