Your role

  • Provide expert strategic and operational advice and guidance to NIISQ Agency management and operational teams in relation to rehabilitation and assistive technology for NIISQ participants.
  • Provide participants, their family and carers with information and support about the NIISQ and NIISQ Agency as it relates to rehabilitation and assistive technology.
  • Assess participant needs in relation to rehabilitation and assistive technology and provide expert internal advice, guidance and options to maximise participant outcomes.
  • Monitor participants' rehabilitation and assistive technology in collaboration with internal stakeholders to facilitate high quality services and participant independence.
  • Lead and support NIISQ Agency team members in decision-making by providing expert technical guidance, coaching, and peer supervision.
  • Lead the development, continuous improvement and implementation of strategies, policies, procedures and resources to enhance the quality of rehabilitation and assistive technology outcomes for participants.
  • Liaise with and provide guidance and education about the Scheme to rehabilitation and assistive technology providers.
  • Support the effective management of rehabilitation and assistive technology complaints and incidents.
  • Other duties or activities commensurate with the role.

About you
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong commitment to shared values, and a broad skillset that includes:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of best practice rehabilitation and assistive technology relevant to the needs of NIISQ participants
  • Demonstrated understanding of rehabilitation and assistive technology services and health and disability sectors relevant to the NIISQ.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and relationship-management skills, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in coaching, training and building capability in stakeholders.
  • A proven track record in providing expert advice related to rehabilitation and assistive technology and making sound recommendations based on relevant evidence.
  • Demonstrated organisational and project management skills displaying a collaborative, autonomous and agile approach.
