This opportunity is in a Rural and Remote settings, with a higher percentage First Nation students which means incorporating cultural norms and traditions into teaching practices to aid in the success of students. The successful applicant should possess attributes that reflect inclusive practices to all and demonstrate respect and understanding of cultural norms and traditions. 

As part of Education Queensland's commitment to supporting Capability development and assisting school staff with accessing high quality professional learning, additional support may be required to release staff. The EFI supports schools to access professional learning and Capability development through the deployment of regional DRTs.

The ideal candidate would:

• Have the ability to be flexible, agile and passionate in their purpose for supporting students, staff and community.
• Be an experienced teacher with a minimum 2-3 years on class
• Have demonstrated ability to build relationships with peers and students, as well as perform and meet expectations in a new environment at short notice.

• Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. • In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services. For more information on blue cards and exemption cards, please Click here.
• Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
