Principal (Level 5) - Cloncurry State School

Applications are invited for a passionate and committed Principal to lead the team at Cloncurry State School P-12 on a temporary, full-time basis until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.
Commencing 14 July 2025, the successful applicant will deliver the vision of the department to
improve the educational outcomes of students. It is expected you will develop the quality of teaching and learning through nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.

Cloncurry State School lies at the centre of our town both geographically and socially. We are a very proud P-12 co-educational school that prides itself on bringing families and students together not only from all over Australia but other countries as well. The township of Cloncurry has a very transient population which, from a school's perspective, can be highly challenging as we focus on developing a sense of pride and ownership in all that we do.
Special purpose arrangement – Partnership Initiative
Under the current Partnership Initiative special purpose classification uplift, this substantive Level 5 position has received a top-up to be remunerated as a Level 7. This special purpose classification level uplift arrangement is intended to retain and attract school leaders who can drive improvements in learning and life outcomes through a system wide approach within Partnership Initiative schools and their communities.

About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
