Our Regional HR team is seeking a candidate with experience leading a business partnering model of service providing high-level, strategic support to multiple complex work units.
You must be passionate about ensuring the service delivery and people leadership positively impacts the educational opportunity for all students in Queensland state schools.
The role of Manager is offered on a full-time temporary basis until 31 August 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About the Department:

About the Role:

This role will lead a team delivering tactical and strategic HR services including Business Partnering and Complex HR Matters. The role is supported by a broad range of Centres of Excellence, HR Advisory Services, Borderless Recruitment and Occupational Wellbeing and Safety. HR Branch is focussing on ensuring that our services support the Department of Education's Equity and Excellence strategy. You will have the opportunity to lead a team during this stage.

You will work with the Director, HR Business Partnering as part of the locally based senior HR team to drive the HR agenda of the department.

Responsibilities Include:

You will have responsibility for, but not be limited to:

  • Develop strong partnerships with leaders and customers to provide tailored advice, best practice people management and consultancy services.
  • Lead customer service delivery and strategic objectives in an era of digital transformation and change.
  • Playing a critical role in the organisation in developing an engaged, empowered and flexible workforce with the agility to readily respond to changing imperatives.
  • Providing workforce reporting and analytic insights.
