Pentland State School is seeking an enthusiastic Business Manager to join the school.

This position involves working closely with clients on a daily basis and collaborating effectively as part of a team.

This is an expression of interest for a temporary, part-time position at Pentland State School, backfilling maternity leave for 36 hours per fortnight until 19 September 2025, unless otherwise determined.

Your Opportunity 

As the Business Manager you will be responsible for the effective and efficient administrative management of the school by providing corporate services and administrative support to the Principal.

You will work within well-defined guidelines to provide advice and offer solutions to key stakeholders (external and internal) on business related problems (e.g. human resources, finance and facilities management), and have responsibility for autonomously delivering on priorities, seeking expert advice, adapting processes, problem solving and providing solutions according to clear outcomes, with regular guidance by the Principal.

The Business Manager reports to the Principal or nominated delegate. 

Your Responsibilities 

As the Business Manager, your opportunities and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Utilise effective interpersonal and communication skills and develop partnerships within the school community to consistently deliver quality service.
  • Organise and provide general corporate services to support the operations of the school and its community.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of executive and administrative support, including the management and provision of resources and facilities, as well as the supervision of clerical duties, wages, and staff.
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning to continually improve your skills.
  • Demonstrate a friendly, positive attitude and contribute as a collaborative team member.
