Cleveland Education and Training Centre is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our administrative team for Term 3, with the possibility of extension.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Administrative Officer to support the effective and
efficient operations of our school administration team. In this role, you will provide timely and accurate administrative support to the Principal and Business Manager.

Who We Are:
Cleveland Education and Training Centre is a Department of Education school based within the Cleveland Youth Detention Centre in Townsville. We support young people from across North and Western Queensland, helping them reconnect with education and build pathways to employment or further study.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide general administrative and support services as directed by the Principal or Business Manager.
- Perform reception duties, including answering phone and counter enquiries, scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining accurate school records.
- Manage student enrolments, departures, daily absences, and assist with student reporting.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and emails.
- Use Microsoft Office programs proficiently, particularly Word and Excel (experience highly regarded).
- Ensure compliance with departmental and school policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the administrative team.
- Assist with Accounts Payable alongside other staff.
- Undertake other appropriate duties as directed by your supervisor or delegate.
