About the Role:
The Administration Officer is the first point of contact in the North Queensland Regulatory team, providing professional, efficient and confidential administration support. Your role encompasses providing quality administrative and corporate support within the North Queensland Regulatory team, where you will work in a fast-paced environment that requires your efficient time management and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities Include:
As an Administration Officer your responsibilities include:
- Provide confidential administrative support, information and advice to Directors, Managers and other staff in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, on administrative, human resource and financial issues.
- Receive telephone and email enquiries and respond in a professional and timely manner, providing information as required, or where necessary direct the queries to the appropriate area.
- Work collegially as a team for the delivery of administrative and corporate support functions for the region.
- Maintain the records management system, National database systems and administer the flow of correspondence across the unit. This can include acting as the central point for correspondence and documents, including distribution of correspondence and other documents, and when necessary, follow up on outstanding items and preparation of documents for approval.
- Maintain currency of subject knowledge, technical proficiency and skills appropriate to the role including compliance with appropriate legislation, policies, procedures and protocols
About You:
It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in providing high quality administrative support in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
