The Executive Leadership Team at Bwgcolman Community School are offering an opportunity to join the school’s administration team as a Marketing & Administration Officer (AO4).

This role is being offered as a temporary role starting as soon as possible, on a negotiable part-time basis, until the end of Term 4 2027, unless otherwise determined.

About the School:

Bwgcolman Community School is a vibrant Kindergarten to Year 12 Partnership Initiative (PI) school located on beautiful Palm Island, just 65 kilometres north-northwest of Townsville within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. With approximately 370 students across State Delivered Kindergarten, primary and secondary phases of learning, our school is deeply committed to ensuring every young person experiences success through high expectations, strong relationships and culturally responsive practice.

About the role

As the Marketing & Administration Officer, you will have the following responsibilities:

Whole School Communications Management

  • Social media content - coordination and regular uploading of school content
  • Newsletter creation - Weeks 3, 6 and 9 each term
  • What's On updates - internal and external communication
  • Support for the communication and promotion of PBL practices
  • Management of school letterhead templates, promotional and marketing materials

Business Operations Administrative Support

  • State Delivered Kindergarten compliance and associated administration
  • Filing, records management and archival processes

Other Duties

  • Other tasks as directed by the Principal, commensurate with the classification level of the position
