Registrars (Emergency Medicine)
Princess Alexandra Hospital, Woolloongabba
Department of Emergency Medicineare looking for several Registrars (Emergency Medicine) to join their team from August 2025 and February 2026 for 6 to 12 months. This position is to provide clinical care under the supervision and acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfy Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and medical board requirements in order to practice as a specialist. Clinical role will balance supervision, individual patient load and department flow.

About the Role
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
- Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
- To provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals provide inpatient outpatient care by assessing patients, determining and instigating appropriate investigation
- Establish management plan for patients in consultation with the consultant
- Where appropriate, ensure discharge planning commences early in the process of care
- Communicate assessment findings, proposed management plans and alternatives to patient
and carers and seek consent - Gather input from appropriate multidisciplinary team for patient's ongoing clinical care
- Continually monitor and review patient progress and adjust the management plan when
necessary and ensure appropriate and timely communication with other health care providers and carers to ensure ongoing patient care post hospital stay
