The Neurology and Stroke Unit are looking for several Staff Specialists to join their team. Staff Specialist, Neurology (complex Epilepsy): Provides EEG reporting across Metro South Health Responsible for completing a complex epilepsy outpatient clinic at PA Hospital Qualification in neurophysiology would be an advantage, specifically level 3 EEG qualification Staff Specialist, Neurology: Provides specialist services at Metro South Health, Provides inpatient care, including participating in the on-call roster for both neurology and stroke patients across Metro South.

About the Role
- This role reports to Director of Neurology and Stroke.
- This position fulfils accountabilities and responsibilities in accordance with Metro South's purpose and objectives.
- Foster a culture of interprofessional collaboration and leadership through understanding the role and the roles of others in the interprofessional team leveraging this knowledge to establish and meet client goals and inform service direction.
- Encourage consumer participation in treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstrable improvement in service outcomes.
- Liaise and collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes and the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Maintain service standards, guidelines, procedures and policies.
- Develop and implement the practice of continuous quality improvement and total quality management to achieve quality and safety outcomes in patient care at all levels of clinical and administrative practice, including active participation in clinical audits, clinical meetings, and clinical incident management resolution.
- Participate in and/or lead departmental research activities in collaboration with colleagues.
