This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of accommodation for 97 electorate offices across Queensland—from Barron River to Currumbin and Mount Isa. As Lease Manager, you'll lead strategic leasing initiatives, ensuring Members of Parliament are supported with fit-for-purpose spaces that meet both current and future needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure suitable commercial properties across Queensland.
  • Lead lease negotiations, acquisitions and renewals.
  • Provide expert advice on lease surrenders and property disposals.
  • Assess existing facilities and plan for future accommodation needs.
  • Collaborate with Members of Parliament, QGAO, and industry partners.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and high-level financial reports.
  • Review and finalise lease documentation in partnership with Parliamentary Service Legal.
  • Contribute to the development of a lease management system.

About You

You are a confident and strategic property professional with a strong understanding of commercial leasing across diverse locations, including rural and remote areas. Your experience includes interpreting and negotiating lease terms, analysing market trends, and managing lease portfolios with precision. You're comfortable using systems like iSpace to support accommodation planning and have a proven ability to prioritise tasks under pressure. With excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you build trusted relationships and navigate complex negotiations with ease. Tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential.
