Parliamentary Services is seeking a professional, organised and community-minded Assistant Electorate Officer to join Mrs Janelle Poole APM MP, Member for Mundingburra. This role supports the Member and Electorate Officer in delivering high-quality services to constituents, engaging with local organisations, and assisting with the daily operations of a busy electorate office.
This is a temporary opportunity until the 26th March 2027, with the possibility of extension.
Key Objectives
- Provide high-quality administrative and support services to the Electorate Office.
- Assist constituents and community groups by responding to enquiries and helping resolve concerns.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operations of the Member's office.
Your Role
- Assist with diary management, coordinating appointments, meetings and community events.
- Provide administrative support including correspondence, research, data entry and record keeping.
- Help prepare briefing materials, community information and maintain office systems.
- Monitor local issues through community engagement, media and stakeholder networks.
- Assist with travel arrangements and liaise with Parliamentary Travel services.
- Respond to enquiries via phone, email and in person, providing information and support.
- Maintain strong relationships with community organisations, government agencies and stakeholders.
- Support community engagement activities such as events and constituent correspondence.
- Provide general office support including filing, records management, supplies coordination and documentation.
