The Queensland Parliamentary Service is seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to support the delivery of the IT Services program of work. The role provides project governance support, coordinates project activities, contributes to project delivery, and assists with solution development, reporting, risk management, resource planning, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement. The position requires technical experience working in complex enterprise IT environments, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities. Qualifications in ICT, project management or ITIL are highly regarded. The Queensland Parliamentary Service is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to join the IT Services team. In this role, you will support project governance, coordinate delivery activities, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to help deliver a diverse program of technology projects that support the operations and integrity of the Queensland Parliament.

Key Objectives

  • Coordinate project activities to ensure outcomes are delivered on time, within scope and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide support to IT project governance, reporting and delivery functions.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and vendors to support continuous improvement and positive customer experience.

Your Role

  • Support the Program Delivery Manager and project teams with governance activities including risk management, progress monitoring, reporting, quality assurance and benefits review.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects by coordinating and performing project management tasks and support solution development, including leading specific activities where required.
  • Coordinate project timelines, cost considerations, service standards and implementation processes to drive successful delivery and improved customer experience.
  • Provide accurate and practical advice relating to IT Project Management, IT Service Management and Organisational Change Management.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers and external agencies to ensure high‑quality deliverables and effective collaboration.
  • Prepare, manage and distribute project and program communications, training materials and documentation.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives and uphold quality standards.
  • Support a positive team culture focused on collaboration, customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Undertake finance‑related tasks such as maintaining accurate project records, reporting and compliance with organisational policies.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Program Delivery Manager or Head of IT Services.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience working within an enterprise IT environment in a technical role and delivering outcomes within complex and dynamic settings.
  • Experience coordinating or leading projects, with demonstrated improvements to systems, processes or technology infrastructure.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate resources, collaborate effectively and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders and build effective relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to identify risks and support improvements to project delivery and customer experience.
  • Qualifications in ICT or related fields, and/or industry‑recognised certifications in project management, Agile, continuous improvement or ITIL are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent tools is also highly regarded.
