Are you an experienced IT Project Manager with a passion for delivering complex digital initiatives that make a meaningful impact? Do you thrive in environments where governance, collaboration and innovation come together to support critical public services?

The Queensland Parliamentary Service is delivering a major digital transformation and modernisation program and is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple high‑profile initiatives. These initiatives focus on modernising Queensland's Parliamentary Information Management System and integrating contemporary digital technologies.

Key Objectives

  • Lead the successful delivery of large and complex IT projects supporting Parliamentary operations.
  • Embed project outcomes through effective stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Ensure strong project governance, integrity and benefits realisation.

Your Role

  • Lead the planning and delivery of complex digital and IT projects within a multifaceted environment.
  • Manage project performance across scope, schedule, cost, quality and service standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, schedules, risk and issue registers, reports and closure artefacts.
  • Design and implement effective communication and organisational change strategies, including training materials.
  • Coordinate Project Board activities and promote effective governance and assurance practices.
  • Support the Program Delivery Manager and project teams with governance, risk management, quality assurance and benefits review activities.
  • Provide sound advice on IT project and service management, aligned with current industry practices.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers and other agencies to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree or recognised qualifications in ICT or a related discipline (highly desirable).
  • Project management, agile, continuous improvement and ITIL certifications (highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise IT projects on time and within budget in complex environments.
  • Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, risk management and governance.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
