Queensland Parliament is seeking a proactive and capable Maintenance Coordinator to support the effective operation of a diverse property portfolio across Queensland. In this role, you'll ensure our facilities remain safe, functional and compliant, while delivering high-quality services to Members of the Legislative Assembly and their offices.

This is a dynamic opportunity to combine technical knowledge, systems expertise and leadership capability in a high-profile environment where your work directly supports the functioning of Queensland's democracy.

Key Objectives

  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across a statewide property portfolio.
  • Ensure digital systems and workflows support efficient service delivery and reporting.
  • Maintain safe, compliant, and cost-effective facilities operations.

Your Role

  • Lead administration of facilities services through the Facilities Helpdesk and systems such as ServiceNow (CMMS/PaaS).
  • Coordinate end-to-end maintenance activities, including allocating, tracking and resolving work requests.
  • Monitor and analyse maintenance data to inform preventative strategies, lifecycle planning and continuous improvement.
  • Provide operational advice to Members and Electorate Office staff on facilities, maintenance and accommodation matters.
  • Support and supervise Helpdesk Officers, prioritising workloads and resolving complex or high-risk issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure timely, effective service delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing facilities, leased accommodation or property portfolios in a complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of reactive and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Experience using CMMS/PaaS systems to manage workflows, assets and reporting.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience guiding team performance and fostering a client-focused culture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and manage risk effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

A qualification in property, facilities or asset management is desirable but not essential.

What We Offer

At Queensland Parliament, you'll be part of a collaborative and purpose-driven environment where your work makes a difference. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, build your expertise, and work alongside dedicated professionals committed to excellence in public service.
