About the role

Casual opportunity to 

• Occupational Therapists in the Casual Pool deliver clinical services within The Prince Charles Hospital as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.
• Services currently operate on a Monday to Friday basis, though this may change in the future to meet service demands across the 7 day week.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Deliver professional Occupational Therapy clinical services commensurate with experience within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards and under clinical practice supervision or the professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
• Develop clinical practice knowledge and experience through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities.
• Contribute to quality, research and service improvement activities within the Occupational Therapy and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide clinical practice and operational supervision to work experience students, or those involved in observational clinical placements
• Contribute to multidisciplinary patient care as well as coordinated and integrated services through:
  • Effective communication within teams, with patients and their families/caregivers
  • Active participation in ward rounds, case conferences and team meetings
