About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- This position is required to have full working knowledge of all area's within the TPCH Front of House Administration which services areas such as Ward Administrators, Outpatient Call Centre, Outpatient Reception, Admissions & Pre-Admissions, Patient Enquiries, Trust Office, Telehealth and Discharge Review bookings, Private Practice Clinic. Position requires a high level of flexibility and varies regularly according to operational requirements.
- High Level of keyboard and word processing skills focusing on high attention to detail in a busy Outpatient Department. Ability to obtain skills in computerised information systems, including appointment scheduling and billing systems (e.g. HBCIS, Medirecords), Patient Flow systems such as QFLOW.
- Ensuring the maintenance of compulsory high-level patient data information within the Hospital and Health Service Outpatient and Inpatient environment.
- Where appropriate maximise opportunities for the district by identifying and discussing options with patients whom have private health cover providing an informed election choice.
- Use high level Patient Focused customer service to interact and negotiate successfully with members of the public and work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure appropriate and effective outcomes.
