About the role
- Deliver compassionate, high level, independent physiotherapy clinical services to patients and services of The Prince Charles Hospital, supporting professional leadership and clinical training in vestibular physiotherapy as designated by the Director of Physiotherapy through the Physiotherapy Clinical Lead in Internal Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Prince Charles Hospital, Metro North Health Service District and Queensland Health.
- Provide high level clinical advice and support to senior staff, to facilitate the integration of quality initiatives into clinical practice and work unit guidelines of the facility, contribute to District/state-wide programs and to the professional development of physiotherapy, medical and other health professionals regarding the assessment and management of vestibular patients.
- Participation in the 24/7 roster is not currently a requirement of the position. However, in the future or occasionally, afterhours work may be required of the incumbent with or without time off in lieu as determined by the Physiotherapy Department.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide high level non-routine physiotherapy clinical services utilising high level of compassion, knowledge, expertise and skill in all core areas of physiotherapy practice and more specifically in the provision of vestibular physiotherapy clinical practice within The Prince Charles Hospital in accordance with prescribed ethical, professional and work unit standards, with infrequent professional supervision.
- Actively contribute to the identification, development, implementation and evaluation of quality, research and service improvement activities within the physiotherapy and clinical program work unit.
- Apply respectful communication working collaboratively, cooperatively and effectively with patients and their families/carers, supervisors, physiotherapy assistants, students, researchers and all members of the multi-disciplinary team to establish open, goal focused and effective communication partnerships.
- Manage an appropriate caseload using high level time management and prioritisation skills, including clinical and non-clinical responsibilities and the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation.
