About the role
Co-ordinate, supervise and manage the training and development of Medical Record Department staff to ensure a highly efficient and quality medical record service is delivered to The Prince Charles Hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Collaborate with the Manager to oversee the supervision, leadership, mentoring, and support of the Medical Records Administrative team to ensure performance and qualities standards are consistently met.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels by managing emergent staff leave requests and balances, coordinating staff rostering including coverage in conjunction with management.
- Plan, coordinate, deliver and evaluate learning and development activities for all Medical Record Department (MRD) personnel, using internal and external training resources.
- Oversee the development, updating, and maintenance of all training and induction materials for MRD staff to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Create training schedules and maintain comprehensive records of training activities and competency assessments to guarantee all staff possess the necessary skills for MRD responsibilities.
- Coordinate, supervise, audit, and manage workflows within the MRD to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
