Cross River Rail is seeking a technical risk specialist to provide advanced quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, reporting and analytical support across complex infrastructure delivery projects. Supporting both enterprise and project risk environments, you will deliver meaningful risk insights, contribute to governance and assurance activities and support the ongoing optimisation of Active Risk Manager (ARM). The role offers broad exposure across a major rail infrastructure program and the opportunity to influence risk informed project delivery outcomes.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is building a new 10.2km rail line that includes 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD; with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street.

Once complete, it will provide trains with a much-needed alternative rail path through the core of the current SEQ Rail network, unlocking a bottleneck and allowing more trains to run more often across the whole of South East Queensland.

The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also delivering multiple supporting projects and activities in conjunction with the Department of Transport and Main Roads. These include accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast; upgrades for stabling yards; track works and surface rail enhancements; and the introduction of a new ETCS digital signalling system.

About the Role

Reporting to the Program Risk Manager, the Principal Risk Analyst provides advanced technical risk analysis, systems support and specialist advisory services across enterprise, program and project risk management within the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority.

Working within Program Controls, this role offers the opportunity to contribute across Queensland's most complex infrastructure program, supporting both enterprise and project delivery environments. You will deliver quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, reporting and data driven risk insights that support informed decision making across the program, while working closely with Leadership teams, Project Directors and delivery stakeholders.

The role also supports enterprise risk governance and assurance activities, along with the administration and ongoing optimisation of Active Risk Manager (ARM), helping drive consistent and disciplined risk management practices across the program.

This opportunity is offered as a fixed term contract until September 2028 with possible extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake quantitative and qualitative risk analysis across enterprise, program and project risk environments
• Deliver risk reporting, dashboards, trend analysis, scenario assessment and data driven risk insights to support delivery outcomes
• Analyse risk and project data to identify emerging trends, delivery risks, interdependencies and potential impacts to program outcomes.
• Support enterprise risk governance, compliance and assurance activities and audit processes across the program
• Support facilitation of risk workshops, retained risk reviews and risk assessment activities
• Provide technical risk advice and analytical support to Project Directors, Managers and delivery teams
• Support administration, reporting configuration and ongoing optimisation of Active Risk Manager (ARM)
• Monitor risk data quality, integrity and consistency across enterprise and project risk environments
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk frameworks, reporting methodologies and analytical practices
• Work collaboratively across Program Controls and delivery teams to support consistent risk management practices
• Prepare clear and decision focused reports, presentations and analytical outputs for leadership and governance forums

About You:

• Extensive experience in enterprise and project risk management within major infrastructure or complex program environments aligned to AS/NZS ISO 31000.
• Experience supporting risk governance, assurance, audit and compliance activities across full project life cycle.
• Strong capability in managing and analysing complex risk and project data to undertake quantitative risk analysis, trend analysis and scenario assessment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and decision focused reports and presentations
• Proven ability to build effective working relationships and provide trusted technical advice to project and delivery teams
• Experience administering risk management systems and reporting tools, with Active Risk Manager (ARM) experience highly regarded
• Demonstrated ability to support continuous improvement of risk frameworks, reporting methodologies and analytical practices
