Queensland Public Trustee (QPT) is seeking a Senior Information Management Officer to join our Information and Technology division. In this important role, you will support the delivery of information governance, records management and information management services that enable QPT to meet its legislative obligations and business objectives.
You will also lead records sentencing and disposal activities, administer and enhance the electronic document and records management system (eDRMS), and provide expert advice, training and support to promote best-practice information management.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Brendale to combine your technical expertise and leadership capability to strengthen information governance across QPT.

You are an experienced information management professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy helping others understand and adopt effective information management practices.
To excel in this role, the following attributes will be your keys to success:
- Demonstrated knowledge of information and records management principles, legislation, standards and best practice.
- Experience managing records management activities, including record sentencing, disposal and information governance processes.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing correspondence.
- Proven ability to administer and support electronic document and records management systems (eDRMS), including troubleshooting issues and providing user support.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to deliver training, provide advice and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to mentor and guide staff, coordinate operational activities and manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Well-developed relationship management skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and organisational excellence.
Highly desirable requirements
- Qualifications in Information Management, Records Management, Information Governance or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
