We're looking for a skilled and strategic Senior Content Designer to lead the design and delivery of user-focused digital content across Queensland Public Trustee (QPT) online platforms. You'll play a key role in shaping how the community engages with our services—ensuring content is clear, accessible, and consistent with government-wide digital best practices.
What you'll be doing
Working within the Digital Delivery team, you'll bring a strong editorial and technical background, a data-driven mindset, and a passion for collaborative problem-solving. You'll have the opportunity to influence digital standards, support cross-team initiatives, and contribute to a seamless customer journey across all digital touchpoints.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, accessible digital content aligned with QPT's service goals and the Queensland Government's digital standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts and vendors to co-design content that is customer-focused and easy to navigate.
- Lead the continuous improvement of digital content standards, governance processes, and evaluation frameworks.
- Use web analytics and insights to evaluate and improve content performance and user experience.
- Provide strategic content design advice and support to teams across the business.
- Contribute to digital capability uplift through coaching and best-practice design guidance.
- Work closely with communications, customer service, and media teams to create a consistent and effective digital presence.
What we're looking for
We're seeking a collaborative digital content design professional with a strong foundation in user-focused design. You'll bring experience creating accessible, engaging content, preferably in a public sector or regulated environment. With strong writing and editing skills, a working knowledge of digital best practices, and ideally experience with Squiz DXP.
- Experience designing and managing content for websites or digital platforms, ideally in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Strong writing, editing, and digital publishing skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of content accessibility, user experience principles, and responsive design.
- Experience using CMS platforms—Squiz DXP proficiency is highly regarded.
- Confidence working with web analytics, insights, and feedback to improve digital services.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A passion for inclusive, data-informed design and improving customer experience.
