Working closely with stakeholders and external audit providers, you will coordinate audit activities, deliver data-driven insights and provide recommendations that support effective decision-making and continuous improvement.
This is a temporary 12-month opportunity with possible extension, based in Brisbane.

About you
You are an experienced internal audit, assurance or risk professional with strong analytical capability and a passion for improving organisational performance through evidence-based insights. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy working with data and stakeholders alike, and can effectively translate information into meaningful recommendations and outcomes.
To excel in this role, the following attributes will be your keys to success:
- Demonstrated experience coordinating internal audit, assurance or monitoring activities within a complex organisational environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to identify trends, anomalies, emerging risks and control weaknesses.
- Proven ability to develop trusted relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders, including external audit providers and senior leaders.
- Experience preparing high-quality reports, findings and recommendations that support governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes independently.
- A commitment to integrity, accountability and professional excellence.
Mandatory Requirements
- A current C class driver's licence.
- Ability to undertake occasional interstate travel to other QPT office locations.
- While not mandatory, relevant tertiary or professional qualifications in internal audit, accounting, information systems, data analytics, risk management or governance will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in internal audit or assurance activities, including risk-based planning, evidence assessment, findings, recommendations and monitoring management actions.
- Experience with SQL and advanced Excel is required. Experience with Power BI, Python or similar analytical tools will be highly regarded.
