About the role
As the Principal Information Management Officer, you will act as a key advocate for Information and Records Management, ensuring alignment with QPT's strategic goals and ICT policies. Your technical expertise and leadership will guide stakeholders in adopting best practices in information governance, knowledge management, and data management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert advice on trends and practices in information governance, knowledge management, and records management.
- Managing eDRMS administration, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with vendors to resolve incidents.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders to promote high-performance Information Management initiatives.
- Developing and implementing standards, guidelines, and tools to achieve industry best practices.
- Delivering engaging virtual and in-person training on Information Management systems and practices.
- Leading system upgrades, patches, and hotfixes for Content Manager, including designing user acceptance test scripts.
- Showcasing Information Management systems to prospective stakeholders, driving digital transformation.
- Providing supervision and support to the Brisbane-based Information Management team.

About You
You will bring a strong background in Information Management and technical expertise in eDRMS systems. You'll possess excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and deliver training, as well as the ability to lead projects and foster continuous improvement.
To excel in this role, the following attributes will be your keys to success:
- Demonstrated expertise in contemporary information management practices, governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience administering eDRMS platforms (e.g. Content Manager), including issue resolution and vendor liaison.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare training material and deliver targeted user training.
- Experience in the development and implementation of IM-related policies, procedures and standards.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience supervising or leading staff in a professional context.
While not mandatory, a qualification in an Information Management-related discipline would be advantageous.
