The role
As an RSQ Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to prioritise competing complex patient-related tasks, in a work environment that can be unpredictable and pressured. You will provide support, direction and education to nursing personnel. Finally, you will support and assist the Nursing/Service Director, ADONs and Nurse Grade 7s to achieve quality patient outcomes within the coordination, retrieval and telehealth setting, maximising Queensland Health's resources.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated recency of critical care practice (3-5 years full time in the past 7 years). This experience can be to a broad range of patient types (including adult, paediatric, neonatal, and obstetric) and/or experience in aeromedical or road patient retrieval is highly desirable. Disaster management qualifications such as HMIMMS, MIMMS or Ausmat team member training is desirable. Experience working in rural and remote health facility would also be highly regarded.

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS)
The QAS Division operates as a statewide service within Department of Health and is accountable for the delivery of pre-hospital ambulance response services, emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital patient care and transport services, inter-facility ambulance transport, aeromedical retrieval services, emergency telehealth clinical support models, confidential health assessment and information services, casualty room services and planning and coordination of multi-casualty incidents and disasters to the Queensland community.
