Team Leader, Data and Systems

QCAA are seeking a Team Leader, Data and Systems, to lead a team responsible for the system management and reporting on the casual workforce. The Program Workforce Unit is responsible for managing a range of workforce functions including the casual workforce employed under the QCAA Act to support the activities related to implementation of senior internal and external assessment.

What you will do
In the Team Leader, Data and Systems role, you will:
- Provide leadership and training to team members to support comprehensive reporting of casual workforce within required timelines.
- Oversee system administration, database management and reporting, ensuring data integrity, reliability and security are prioritised, in line with government policies.
- Analyse complex datasets and provide actionable insights through reports and dashboards to support the decision-making of various stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Identify and implement improvements to data management and system processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and improve data processing efficiency.
- Contribute to IT and data-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Develop high quality training materials and provide expert guidance to users and team members on system and data best practices.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes, including the tracking of progress to meet critical deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to agreed priorities, timeframes, and accountabilities. Experience in database development and management, ICT solution oversight, reporting, and data visualization—particularly using SQL and Microsoft Power Platforms—will be highly regarded. Additionally, the ability to coordinate the delivery of work packages will be advantageous.
