The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Project Officer to join the Senior Curriculum Unit. The Senior Curriculum Unit is responsible for developing and publishing senior syllabuses and resources. The unit will also assist in preparing the future development and management of senior syllabuses.

What you will do

In the Principal Project Officer role, you will:

  • Lead and participate in teams to develop the suite of materials required for senior syllabus development and management.
  • Provide expert advice to Managers and Directors in the Curriculum Services Division on matters related to senior syllabuses and the development and management of senior syllabuses.
  • Lead operational teams and monitor processes and outcomes of syllabus development and management decisions.
  • Lead and manage business priorities within timelines, using allocated resources and involving officers across the office of the Authority and external participants, including data collection and analysis.
  • Liaise with government and non-government educational agencies on assigned projects.
  • Create and maintain professional relationships between the Authority and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in forums, workshops and discussion groups in relation to the work of the QCAA.
  • Prepare briefings, correspondence and reports.

This role reports to the Manager, Senior Curriculum Unit. No roles report directly to this role.
