The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Education Officer (Technology) to join the Learning Areas Unit. The Learning Areas Unit is responsible for coordinating the implementation of activities related to the QCE system in partnership with the Quality Assurance Unit, School Support Unit, Senior Curriculum Unit, Assessment Services Unit and Professional Learning Programs Unit.

What you will do
In the Principal Education Officer (Technology) role, you will:
- lead teams of casual writers and assessors to support the development of curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment products and services
- work collaboratively with Principal Project Officers and Activity Managers to ensure alignment of products and services with whole of organisation directions, policies and procedures
- revise and redevelop curriculum products and resources including senior syllabuses and guidelines
- lead the development of the annual subject report(s)
- lead teams of casual writers and assessors to quality assure school-devised assessments and school judgments and to develop and mark external assessments
- provide timely and high-quality client focussed assistance and support to schools, teachers and other key stakeholders
- provide expert advice to Learning Area Managers and Directors on issues related to the implementation of senior curriculum and assessment
- lead forums, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.

This role requires teaching experience and expertise in the subject Engineering, and Engineering skills or other Applied Industrial Technology skills subjects.
