The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Manager to join the People and Culture Unit. The People and Culture Unit is responsible for providing strategic and operational advice and support to QCAA staff across the full range of people management functions. including: staffing and establishment management, recruitment and selection, payroll and leave management, industrial relations, grievance and discipline, workforce planning and job design, capability development, workplace health and safety, and workplace rehabilitation.

What you will do
In the Manager role, you will:
- Manage and lead the team in delivering a diverse range of core operational services.
- Provide expert, specialist advice, to senior management and stakeholders on complex issues and provide advice to all levels of QCAA's management team and employees.
- Lead the development and implementation of diversity, inclusion and cultural capability initiatives across the agency.
- Prepare high-quality written documentation such as policy documents, submissions for action, reports, briefing notes and other correspondence for senior stakeholders on a range of complex and confidential workforce management issues.
- Manage the development and implementation of significant and complex organisation-wide projects and strategies to build organisational capability.
- Present and facilitate briefings, workshops and training sessions to managers and employees.
- Continuously review the policy framework and associated workforce management processes to ensure compliance with legislative and industrial obligations, governance arrangements, mitigation of workplace risks, and continuous improvement in organisational outcomes.
Reporting relationships
This role reports to the Director, Corporate Services.

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role and knowledge of the legislative and industrial framework within the Queensland public sector, including sector-wide policies and directives will be highly regarded for this role.
