Senior Communications Officer

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Senior Communications Officer to join its Communications Unit. The Communications Unit partners with business units across the organisation. It informs, engages and advises Queensland school communities — principals, teachers, students and families — about the work of the QCAA and its resources to support teaching, learning and assessment from kindergarten to Year 12.

What you will do
In the Senior Communications Officer role, you will:
- Develop, implement and evaluate creative communication and engagement plans that are delivered on time and budget.
- Write high-level, accurate and engaging content for e-newsletters, websites, fact sheets, social media, presentations, advertisements, briefing notes and other publications.
- Liaise with photographers, videographers and graphic designers to develop engaging, accurate and accessible multimedia content/publications.
- Contribute to statewide marker recruitment campaigns and a student awards program.
- Maintain productive relationships with the QCAA's senior management and external stakeholders.
- Foster innovation in communication and marketing activities to build stakeholder relationships and the QCAA brand.
