Principal Project Officer

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Project Officer to join the Senior Assessment and Certification Support Branch. The Senior Assessment and Certification Support Branch is responsible for is responsible for activities that contribute to the development, review and implementation of guidelines to support the quality assurance processes for the QCE, QCIA, Recognition and VET. The Principal Project Officer will conduct a comprehensive review, including extensive stakeholder consultation and research, to provide recommendations for the revision or redevelopment of the QCIA.

What you will do
In the Principal Project Officer role, you will:
- Lead and participate in teams to develop professional learning and development resources to support the implementation of the QCE
- Lead and participate in teams of internal QCAA staff and casual assessors to develop, maintain and improve quality assurance processes for internal assessment
- Use data to inform the design and development of training programs, workshops, seminars and support materials that assist schools to interpret policies and procedures relating to senior assessment and quality assurance
- Provide expert advice to Managers and Directors in the Curriculum Services Division and the Assessment, Reporting and ICT Division on matters related to the implementation of senior assessment programs
- Manage and deliver business priorities within designated timelines and using allocated resources
- Liaise with Learning Area Unit officers to develop training resources and enact quality assurance activities consistently and in accordance with policies and procedures and to identify, prioritise and support schools requiring additional assistance
- Liaise with government and non-government educational agencies on assigned projects
- Maintain currency with new developments in assessment design, academic integrity, artificial intelligence and quality management systems to provide leadership to schools in assessment
- Create and maintain professional relationships between the QCAA and key stakeholders
- Lead forums, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities
- Prepare briefings, correspondence and reports
