Within the Corporate Services division, the Finance and Business Services team is responsible for managing and overseeing all matters relating to the financial, procurement, contract management and facilities functions within the Commission. Our aim is to ensure the effective and ethical use of public resources, and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, while supporting the strategic objectives and positive culture of the Commission.
As the Manager, Finance and Business Services, you will lead and manage the finance, procurement and facilities functions within the Commission. Partnering with the Director, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies and practices that enhance financial management and procurement outcomes, that support the optimal utilisation of the Commission's funds and resources.
Here's what your role will involve:
- Lead and manage a small team to enable the effective and efficient service delivery of financial and budget management, procurement, contract management and facilities in accordance with established processes and timelines.
- Lead and manage the development and monitoring of the internal budget and forward estimates process, ensuring the Government Tridata system budgets, adjustments and reports for the Commission align with the internal budget.
- Provide expert advice to executive and senior management on budgeting, finance and management matters, procurement and facilities that support best practice and align to the Commission's strategic outcomes.
- Proactively undertake budget management analysis and investigations to provide timely response to issues identified and/ or raised, through the development of briefs, presentations, reports, and correspondence.
- Contribute to the Commission's financial governance by monitoring internal controls, identifying financial risks, managing policy documentation, and supporting the implementation of audit recommendations.
