Townsville Central State School, located in the heart of North Ward and within walking distance to The Strand, Queens Gardens, and the CBD, is the oldest school in Townsville with a strong sense of community. We acknowledge the Wulgurukaba and Bindal peoples as the traditional custodians of the land. With around 250 students, a committed staff, and engaged families, we focus on improving student outcomes in reading, writing, and numeracy, while prioritising wellbeing through a dedicated Wellbeing teacher and the Positive Culture for Learning framework.
