Your new opportunity

We have a unique opportunity in Queensland Treasury's Strategic Communications team for a mutli-skilled creative and design professional with an eye for quality design and a passion to create engaging, professional, on-brand print and digital solutions. As part of a dynamic, agile and collaborative team, you'll contribute to delivering strategic communication projects that support Queensland Treasury's objectives and the government's priorities.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and produce a diverse range of print and digital communication materials (e.g. documents, flyers, advertisements, newsletters, infographics, web & social, event collateral, photos, videos and animation) that meet Queensland Government Visual brand and Accessibility Guidelines.
  • Provide technical advice and creative design strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Offer guidance on corporate identity standards and Queensland Government Corporate Identity Guidelines.
  • Liaise with external design suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes.
  • Assist the team to manage the department's image library and maintain quality control of visual assets.
  • Support high-priority, deadline-driven activities, including the Mid-Year Fiscal and Economic Review (MYFER), and other projects.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive work culture and a collaborative ‘one-team' approach.

What experience you will bring:

  • Proven organisational abilities to design and produce diverse communication materials in print and electronic formats within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience and proficiency in a variety of graphic design and multimedia applications to develop creative solutions for communication and marketing needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide timely, strategic, and innovative design advice to management, team members, and other departmental staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups across various disciplines and levels.

There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications are highly regarded.

You will need to be highly competent in the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro, After Effects and Microsoft applications (particularly PowerPoint and Word).
